PhD thesis title “Digita Diplomacy – The Internet of International Relations” – of Rajendra Man Banepali was presented in programme organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) sharing output of his academic research work on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
Rhode Island, USA, 1st November 2017 – English class was at 6pm at Quinn hall in university on Thursday. I sat off to class in time and found a student there. On the way to lecture, instructor, Shelley from international center, let me introduce with other few colleagues after they entered. We found the class was very happening, interesting and fruitful. After class new friend, Elif (name changed), from Turkey gave me lift to my apartment along with another colleague, Bo (name changed), from China. Elif promised to meet me for further discussion in our topic on Friday since our research topic was similar.

She was still using same cell phone with text dominating system but color phone which was gifted, second handed, six years ago by his son when he got new one. She showed me the phone and said it was the same phone when we met six years ago. She was using phone only to receive phone calls however she has started dialing from immediate, six years ago, I shared to operate properly. I told my number and she dialed again. Incoming call displaying name of “Dil Kumari Chhetry” on my phone was evidence of media richness using smart technology, for example – smart phone, cloud and the Internet – that I am using. However, she had also my number but it was saved as different name which is unknown to her since she can’t still recognize English script. This is a story of woman – Dil Kumary Chhetry – from Ghandruk which is one of accessible remote areas of Nepal and in line of Annapurna trail circuit. I revisited her in her house with my family in March 2017. I met her six years ago in December 2011 when I was in academic research of e-Government project work for Kathmandu University.
An e-mail, which was going to mark successful work ahead, popped up into my computer in beginning of February 2015 when I have just returned from my university in Rajasthan, India after completing pre-requisite coursework of my PhD. The e-mail was about to submit research paper in international conference in Assam University. I was excited and eager to learn more search work writing papers. I accepted it immediately to gear up my paper.
With increasing penetration of the Internet in Nepal, 46.04 per cent in 2015 and 38.68 per cent in 2014, diplomats, government and political parties have also entered into digital diplomacy for digital battle to contest with their own context in modern society equipped with science and technology. People with ambition of the materialistic world and race of advancement, won’t now stop in this reasoning era living with digital technology like the Internet. One of the least developed countries like Nepal has 4 million Facebook users in 2016, said Facebook.

He has another shop – Kind Dry Cleaners in his place. He expressed his sincerity to Nepal that he has visited Kathmandu, Pokhara and other places of Nepal during his last visit of one week. Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are dominating other social media as if Facebook is introducing as the Internet among upcoming new users in cybernetic world. There are other social media in the history in which many youth have spent a lot of time and shared their experiences and the world has also experienced those cyber space in the different communities. Where are those social media and users? How people can track down their experiences of their history and why they move to other social space are much important questions to figure out death of Facebook – as it is spreading its influences in social calendar of people around the world redefining the Internet. There is only one truth — “CHANGE”.
