20161128_161213Kathmandu, 30 August 2017 — The last indie feeling of vinyl life in information age is vivid myth for most of people who are in anxious and in falsified night mare with their outdated model of reality. They are not taking any action though I found most of people are well informed and know almost all they need.

A story I found with a friend, executive management graduate, when I got a change to visit his company after a long time. The last time, 6 years ago, when I met him in his office it was growing up but this time I found him along squeezed into single room. During our conversation, he seemed defensive and normative presenting himself as knower of most of things. I put query about his growing plan rather than squeezing company into single room. He immediately said, “Yes, I know that it’s necessary and should grow the company well with good initiative and projects. Yes. Increasing human resources too.” Really, he knows all those things and it was not necessary even to advise him. But, my question was “Why he is not taking action?”

She showed me the phone and said it was the same phone when we met six years ago. She was using phone only to receive phone calls however she has started dialing from immediate, six years ago, I shared to operate properly. I told my number and she dialed again. Incoming call displaying name of “Dil Kumari Chhetry” on my phone was evidence of media richness using smart technology, for example – smart phone, cloud and the Internet – that I am using. However, she had also my number but it was saved as different name which is unknown to her since she can’t still recognize English script. This is a story of woman – Dil Kumary Chhetry – from Ghandruk which is one of accessible remote areas of Nepal and in line of Annapurna trail circuit. I revisited her in her house with my family in March 2017. I met her six years ago in December 2011 when I was in academic research of e-Government project work for Kathmandu University.

Technology for hunger.jpgThere is no doubt of innovation for foster development and resilience infrastructure development in a nation. No area is immune from effects of innovative technology with rapid growing and rendering social calendar of people around the world. Nobody wants to stop the technology and feel incomplete without technology even in group or alone, especially if to show off. In case of wondering how such technology is affordable to hunger who cannot even afford his grains. It would be innovative and sustainable if a hunger, from war zone and crisis, could afford the technology rather than a matter of show off. Development actors, donors, national and international community and no other than scholar and academicians should enter into a dialogue to bridge technology and livelihood of people in a way that a hunger would have no feelings of hungry next morning rather than as a burden or expensive item just for show off.
